WHO WE ARE

ABOUT US

The West Virginia Collegiate Recovery Network (WVCRN) is an innovative partnership that serves as a bridge between the community and the campus, providing recovery support, prevention education, and care collaboration across higher education institutions in West Virginia. The WVCRN offers peer recovery support services on eight college and university campuses, improving access to recovery resources and enhancing quality of life for students and communities alike.

The Network includes the following institutions: Amerion College Huntington, Bluefield State University, Concord University, Marshall University, Mountwest Community & Technical College, Southern West Virginia Community & Technical College, West Virginia State University, and WVU Tech, working with the following community partners: Community Connections, Inc. and Seed Sower, Inc.

It is a project of Marshall University Research Corporation, Center of Excellence for Recovery (COE), and is supported by federal State Opioid Response funding through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), in collaboration with additional higher education partners statewide. The COE aims to increase the well-being of West Virginians through behavioral health education, prevention, outreach, recovery, and applied research initiatives.
